Here is my take on virginity:

I lost mine at 15 to a girl (woman) who was 23 and I regret it. I wasn't in love and it felt meaningless. A little while later when I was 17 and in a long-term relationship, we made love and I am still with her.

To answer your question, you may not be able to wait til marriage but that's normal. All I advise is that you wait until you are with someone who cares more about your well-being than getting off. Make sure you love the person you choose with all your heart.

It's not an age issue..it's a maturity issue..some people mature faster than others. Keep this in mind everytime you have sex with someone whether it be a one night stand or a loving relationship you give away a piece of yourself don't give away too much or you won't have anything left for yourself. Make sure the person you are sharing this with is worth that piece of you. Also PROTECT YOURSELF. Condoms are so important.

It depends on your belif/morals and what kind of culture you live in. I mean in England 23% of people have sex before they're 16 (which is the age of consent). If people lose their virgintiy early they tend to go on about "regretting it" etc but personally I mean you gotta do it sometime so why not early??? I'd say most people lose thier virginity between 15 and 19.

The answer, as per me, depends NOT on the age of an individual involved but his/her mind's maturity & his/her comfortability with handling the responsibility that are often associated with "losing one's virginity".

Beside, some mature rather late & some NEVER mature, at all (or else the culture of "Chav" would be non-existent). Lastly, some suffers from "Commitmentophobia".

If you still say 'a unvirgin' then you are probably too young.

(Unvirgin isn't a word, and if it was it would be 'an', not 'a').

Up to 18 ideally loosing it 16-17 so you can develop emotionally at a similar pace to others and mature and grow up and understand the world and felings...

Ie its not a grown up thing but one of the most vital parts of growing up, Should be pre college so you can be with parents for any fall out and learning to handle relationships etc.

Those who I have seen loose it in mid to late teens succeeded in life... Those who waited had their lives ruined as could not handle social skills associated with office politics, group dynamics or fit in with others...

It does not matter if you were in a long term couple or not but being in a relationship of 6 months or more before 21 helps.

Waiting for marriage is a waste... Most marriages divorce and do so badly so whats the point?

All you do is miss out on all the growing up comming of age exciting stuff...Think films like Road Trip, American Pie, Porkies or more serious stuff.

Ie its a massive thrill to make out in a cinema of car when a teenager...

Not so when you are 27 or in 30s (you really want to wait that long... ave marraige age is then)

When nobody parties anymore, nobody wants to go on a holiday with the lads or gals...

No boys vs girls prank wars like running the girls bras or guys shorts up the flagpole and all that kind of silly but important growing up stuff...

Or making love in a tent in a festival and waking up at sunrise.

Marriage is for oldies wanting kids who have been there and done it all, backpacked the world etc etc.

Then with no energy to go clubbing, no more friends to party with as all coupled up with kids...

Get the idea... If you wait till married you skip out the best part of life when its great...

Marriage is just the end part of life for having a kid, domestic drudgery, having no mates or social life till you die or get divorced and loose half your house making lawyers rich.

Personal choice. Some are ready earlier than others. At least a consenting age of majority should be reached.
