They give the celebrities free gifts then morons see the celebrities with the item and run out and buy one just because some celebrity has one. It's called marketing.

like gwenyth paltrow *forgive spelling*.. she askd for another 4 pairs of sunglasses from this company so that her friends could wear them too..
its just basically a way of gettin the word out as they are in the media every day

Because fools like us, and I include self, see a commercial with someone using a product and think, "Hey it must be good." When it was given them free!
