Being yourself is the No# 1 thing because when you do find a girl friend the truth comes out.
Stop trying just let it happen when it happens this way you both will fill the same way about each other.

Knowing the girl and not doing anything stupid(like picking her up online...its just creepy) its best if she knows your name and if she doesnt have a bf.....just be yourself except better
