If you had the power to solve one problem in the world, what would it be?

I have the belief that one day, God will solve them all. I just want to know which ones bother people the most. Is it hunger, violence ... etc?

I think hunger. The Tao de Ching says "Feed the people and empty their minds." People get crazy and greedy and stupid when they are hungry. We sometimes eat enormous amounts of the wrong things because our bodies are hungry and the foods we eat do not provide what we need. You as a nursing student know about nutrition.

You probably have seen very poor people who are obese. Why are they? Their bodies are hungry for protein and all they feel they can consume is carbohydrates (cheap and pushed at them). They do not take in enough vitamins through good fresh vegetables, either. So the body still hungers.

The soul and spirit hunger too. We hunger for the touch of others of like minds and spirits. How many of us are just islands in oceans of apparently unfeeling, uncaring masses? How many of us are sending out a "message in a bottle" trying to reach other castaways? How many of us have had that fleeting touch of the Infinite Light and had to return here to this life, to this body? Our job in this hungry body is to remember and to reunite with The Loved One, the One Whose Name is Nameless.

Solving that hunger? Well, guess I would have folks wake up and feed each other. Storytime:

A man dies and goes to the afterlife. He is first shown into Hell. There in front of him is a sumptious banquet table. Everyone is seated there. But everyone is starving because tied to their hands are these spoons. Each spoon has a handle at least three feet long, too long to reach into their mouth.

The man sadly leaves that scene and goes to Heaven. There he sees the same scene! The same banquet table. Everyone has the same three foot long spoons. But there everyone has turned around and is feeding their neighbor.
