He'll help a bit, but the Cubs need a LOT more help than he'll be able to provide.

Phil Nevin was a good pick-up.
Look for The Cubbies to be the wild card.

If he stays healthy, he can be a deadly 5th place hitter....but the question is, CAN he stay healthy?
Nevin felt sore after playing first base Sunday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on 6/5/06.
At $10,333,347 per year, he better suck it up!

Well I'm glad TX got rid of him! He was the highest paid player on the Rangers!! That's just insane, he was probably the 8th best hitter in the lineup.

He's a decent fill-in until Lee gets back. Don't get too excited about him though.
