Don't get the pill its kinda wrong. If you did get pregnant it would be the kid's fault that you were stupid. Take it from someone who has been there.

If you are in England go to your GP. If you would prefer not to do this you can buy the morning after pill from pharmacies or even shops like Boots, Superdrug and Tescos. It's not cheap though, I think it's about £20-30. Get the man to pay half. Take it as soon as possible, the longer you leave it the less effective it will be.

If you have had unprotected sex make sure that you go to a sexual health clinic to check you haven't caught anything. You also should think about finding a regular method of contraception so that you don't have a scare like this again.

The pharmacist, doctor or packaging should tell you about any potential side effects. I've never had to use the morning after pill but my friends who have said that their next period felt heavier than usual, I don't know if that's always the case though.

PS. Please ignore the answer immediately below, a lot of woman have had to take the morning after pill at some point in their lives and are able to later have children when they are ready to.

Sorry that you are getting people telling you that it could kill you. Perhaps they should find some facts and links to the sources to back themselves up. I think you may find this link useful.

Planned parenthood and probably your doctor. And yes, it is something that will absolutely harm you. The risk of death is pretty high, but that is not something planned parenthood is going to tell you about. I think it's called ru486. The aftereffects are very severe, and because the company that makes this drug is making so much money from it, they are trying to keep the effects hush hush. It's been a while since I remember hearing about it so I can't give you a lot of details, but I do remember hearing that for the girls who took this, their chances of ever carrying a baby to full term were pretty slim. I am definetely against it.

THe morning after pill is not an abortion pill all it does is simply keep the egg from being fertilized. it doesn't go out and destroy embryos. you cna get it at planned parenthood, and might feel headache or nauseated feeling for a lil bit since ur body isn't used to the drug.

Get it from the doctor. Be warned - it is not 100 percent effective. If you take it and then do become pregnant and then do go on to have the baby - are you still with me? - there is a chance that the baby will be severely affected. Discuss it with a professional first as it's a big deal.
