Try Chris Claremont. I think you should be able to find books for some of the movies. Try amazon you should have it I saw it for X-Men 2 & X-Men 3. I believe they're regular books. There's comics mixed in so be care. But you may want to check those out.

I think they do, because I have read books (not comics) about how Jean sacrificed herself for the others. There is most likely going to be more movies since there are at least 3 books about Jean turning into 'Phoenix'.
