I want to see the Mavericks play tonight, but I also need to get groceries pretty bad. I don't get off work until the game starts.

Groceries are groceries my friend....! The deal is, ya' need food! Besides--you won't miss much. They start at 7 pm Central Time, so if you hurry, you'll be home in time to watch the more exciting half, anyways (the 2nd one). Maybe by then you'll get to see Shaq beatin' the CRAP outta' Dirk and the Mavs...! Enjoy! LoL

Go grocery shopping first, its more important than the game.

Except if you have one of those portables TVs that shows you the game, then you can do both at the same time.

Tape or record the game, go get your food and come back and watch what you have recorded. OR, just pick up something on the way home to eat, you will only miss a few minutes of the game, and go shopping tomorrow.

If you live where a grocery store delivers that is an option! You can usually call or go on the internet to make your purchases and for a fee they will deliver to your door so you can have it both ways!
