everywhere wants to charge me around 80$ just to turn it off, I dont need a reading, it is just sensitive and comes on over little things.

if you're in the US you should be able to go to Autozone, etc and they should be able to clear it for you.

Auto zone or advanced auto for free. Unless it is a foreign car I dont know for sure if they have the plugs you would have to ask

Well you dident say what kind of car you have so this information would help to tell you how to turn it off.

just cover it with a piece of black electrical tape. actually, have you checked your gas cap. sometimes if the gas cap isnt on tight, the pressure cuases the light to go on.

go to autozone and ask to borrow their scanner. if you didnt fix the problem it will come back on in 200 mi.
