I'm looking to see what another company uses to attract attention to their site, such as google keywords and other search engines as well.

By this i don't mean the metatags that are viewable in the source code - i'm looking for the words that you actually purchase from google or other search engines.

Google does not seem to work with keywords any more, they have a more sophisticated system and only look at words really used in the content.

In MS Internet Explorer you can see the keywords of most websites by choosing "source text" in "view" (3rd of the left - sorry I only have a German version of IE6, so I do not know the exact menu structure)

I have searched for this type of tool but can't find any that shows you what keywords the other business is buying.

The tool I am using is called Total Optimizer Pro - A keyword density and backlink analysis tool. This tool breaks down a variety of onsite and offsite factors giving you a full snapshot of how the top 10 got their positions. http://www.totaloptimizer.com/
