I recently bought an expansion pack for my sims game and followed downloading instructions and it had complications, i tried to uninstall it so i could start over, it didn't work, it reinstalled it!!!!! Does anyone know what i can do to get my game working????

The best thing that you can possibly do is try to uninstall the base version as well. Make a backup of your saved games which you can find in my documents. Then first reinstall the base version. Once there are no hassles in that,try to install the expansion without the patches as they are only quality enhancers. If the installation goes smoothly then just upgrade with the patches. If the game does not work without the patches then just check the versions as expansions work only with a certain version of the game.

If uninstalling it didn't work then your best bet is running a system restore. A restore point should have been automatically made when you originally installed the game. ONLY DO THIS IF NO OTHER PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED SINCE YOU INSTALLED YOUR SIMS EXPANSION PACK & ITS YOUR PC OR HAVE EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER!
The system restore will take your computer settings back to how they were before you installed the game but will keep any files eg music, pics that you have saved since.
To run a system restore you need to click on
START - ALL PROGRAMS -ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - SYSTEM RESTORE
choose restore my computer to an earlier time then an appropriate date, as i said your pc should have automatically created a restore point when you installed the game.

well if you installed it there has to be a way to uninstall it... go to the control panel and click on add and remove...then when the list of things you have on your computer comes up then click remove on the game you want uninstalled...

some sims requier that u install cds in order for example theres cds 1 2 3 4 5 and u got one and install 3 then u gotta uninstall it and install in order i dunno know but its complicated lol read the instructions it wil either tell u to install in order or uninstall something so yeh gl

i had the same problem. as i remember u should go 2 control panel, then 'add or remove programs', look from sims n try 2 remove it! hope it works!
