If your period comes regularly, then you're ovulation time should be the 14th day, starting with the first day you got your period. I believe it's a 48 hr gap. If you didn't have sex between the 14th day and 16th day, you should be okay. If you're really worried about getting pregnant, you should take a home pregnancy test. Read the label on the box and see how soon you can take the test.

Here's the deal: it is true that you can only get pregnant when you are ovulating and that only happens at a certain time of the month; however, it (ovulation) can technically occur at ANY time during the month. Ovulation occurs BEFORE your period and your period comes a certain number of days AFTER ovulation. Things in your life that cause stress can greatly throw off your cycles. Therefore, when your last period occurred is not a reliable factor for birth control. Unless you are a very informed user of the rhythm method (and there are whole BOOKS devoted to this subject) don't rely on it for birth control. It takes a committed, responsible person to make the rhythm method work. Get on the pill, patch or use a condom. Be responsible!!

Let me clarify for you just a little bit. Starting from the first day of your last period...11 to 17 days is your most fertile. It is not possible to get pregnant anytime of the month. You have a cycle, during your cycle there are times when you are releasing eggs, and that is the 11-17 day time frame. Good luck, and if you're not pregnant make sure to start keeping track of your period so you can plan your pregnancy when it is the best time for you emotionally and financially.

IF you use the counting method...you can get pregnant on days 11-17. But your periods have to be pretty regular to know what day you are on. Day one is the first day of your period. Then day 2, 3 so on. So the WORST time to have sex is after your period because you would be geting close to day 11. If you aren't ready to have a baby --quit having sex or at least use protection, please.

No Ash, U won't be.
After periods U will be having 2-week safe period. Only after 15th day from ur last day of the previous period, U risk a chance of pregnancy.
But in this case u must not worry at all.

You should not be fertile until 2 weeks after your period, but there is always a chance. If you're not smart enough to use protection, you shouldn't be having sex at all.

Possibility of becoming pregnant includes during menestration. Likelyhood decreases the closer you are to menses either direction. (before and after)
