I am in Arkansas so i do not know about Arizona but check with the local court house here we have divorce papers you can type yourself and file for about 100.00 alot less expensive then an attorney..... However it has to be a marriage that no children were born into and no property rights to disspute... sorry i couldn't help more but please call and see if your court house has anything similar... Wal-Mart is even selling a set of divorce papers for about 20.00 im not sure how they work though and you would probally still have to pay a filing fee... By the way if they do let you type your own papers you can pay for a copy of someone's divorce they typed up thierself just change the name and date and type what's already said.... good luck

you must get away from this person before anything else happens, I was in a violent marriage for 8 years verbal & physical I was a single mum with no money just £5000 of debt, I did not have to pay for a lawyer because I got legal aid, then I went bankrupt but your circumstances are probably different to mine. My divorce took about 5 months. You will move on & become a stronger person. Good luck

I got my divorce in Phoenix, in Maricopa County, at the time I didnt have much money either, so I used a Paralegal Svc, which isnt very expensive but if the divorce contested, or if theres children, you may need a lawyer, as for the dv you can go to the city court house and get a restraining order.

It takes 60 days from the day you file in AZ..... A dissolution of marriage petition to the court with a pre-decree order for domestic violence for a restraining order. GEt a paralegal, it will usually run around 400.00, or you can get the form free online and file it out yourself. If you are in Maricopa county, you can get it at Maricopa county website or check with other counties, Pinal and Yavapai have the form too. It isn't that difficult to fill them out, make sure you get a Petition to waive court fees and the judge will let you file for free if you meet the income criteria.

Stay away from him all together! Stop choosing to be a victim and become and overcomer... Seek counseling and help and therapy. Talk to legal aide about a divorce and see what your options are. I really do not know if there is such a thing as a free divorce though.

It sounds like your in a tough situation. First and foremost you need to remove yourself from the DV before it gets worse. Once on your own, and out of harms way do some research and determine the best way to pursue your divorce. I've never heard of a cheap divorce if you know what I mean. Best of luck!

God Bless,
Nick

This is a hard one. You will have to get him to agree to divorce you through a third party. Also what country? Each country has there own Laws on the matter

There is a way under the dV act which can help you. My advise is to talk to the Citizens advice bureau
