Depends on what state you live in. In KY there is the TANF program which will help you until your child is school age, Works Program will help you get a GED and a job, foodstamps and medical cards. Health departments do WIC vouchers for food and cereal and immunizations. They also have the Hands program which is great because they come to your house and help out.
