There is nothing wrong with you.....you are not fat!!
Your weight has to be proportionate with you height and with you being 5'7.5 that's pretty tall for a female....so i say you are just fine the way you are!!!
The key is loving you self and being thankful for what you have......think of the one thing you absolutely LOVE about yourself, tell yourself that every time you look in the mirror and ignore your negative thoughts.
As long as you eat right and get some exercise then you are on the right path!!
P.S. The more water you drink that less bloated you will feel (which helps with the "fat" "feeling")
Good Luck!!!

Im not going to lie - you are probably overweight for a person of your height BUT even people in their proper weight class can have too much fat on their bodies. A great way for loosing weight is to eat SMALLER proportions. Im 5'11 and 155, and I CANNOT EAT an entire burger, fries, and drink from a fast food place - its just too much food, i eat 3 or 4 small meals spread throughout the day. Eat slower - eating slower allows your body to let you properly know when you are full. Last - Burn more calories than you intake. If you burn more than you put in, you're burning some off your body. OH - and eat right - One other reason i cant eat that burger and fries other than its too much food to be eating at one time - I cook my own food and dont eat at fast food places because its unhealthy.

For a female who's 5'7" thereabouts, these are the ideal weights depending on your frame size:
Small frame: 123 - 136
Medium frame: 133 - 147
Large frame: 143 - 163
To know whether you have a small, medium or large frame, the medium frame for 5' 7" would be 2-3/8" to 2-5/8". If you measure less, then you're a small. If more, a large.

If we go by Trillian's chart, then you might be considered on the voluptuous side. But not FAT! Fat is when you have many excess pounds, not when you have a little extra flesh.
Is it just your weight that you're concerned about, or how it's distributed?
If you're one of the "lucky" people who are a perfectly healthy weight but who has large thighs or whatever, you just need to learn how to dress properly for your figure.
When I was 16 and weighed 110 at 5'3, I thought I was fat because I was built curvy. Big butt, big thighs. Instead of just thinking of them as figure flaws, I decided I was fat because I didn't look good in stretch pants. What a waste!
Now I know better, mostly thanks to "What not to Wear." So instead of deciding that you're fat because there's something you don't look good in, simply change your wardrobe!

"Fat" is relative to the observer. However, 170 girl standing 5'7" would be considered on the larger side of things. The best test is how you feel. You stated you feel fat and the size/weight ratio is large so you probably should loose weight. I would loose a few pounds and see how it feels. Find your comfort spot and try to stay there.

I'm 5'8 and weight 128lbs.....I feel way to thin for my height.... If you feel uncomfortable in your skin, then maybe you are overweight, and should go on some sort of diet and exercise routine. Keep excercising and try a low or no carb diet and very high protein diet, that would be you know, meat and veggies.....all the time, not fried, but grilled with a butter spray.....
