Take it to the dry cleaners at this point. Make sure you point out the stain to them. They might be able to get it out, but no guarantees!!

What kind of food stain?
If you have but it in the dryer, it's probably too late.
If not, tomato products can be taken out with any brand shampoo, gently rubbed into the stain.
If not, ink can come out with aresole hair spray as a pre-wash. Can you tell me whether you have dryed it and what caused the stain? I might be able to help.

those stain removers mostly work if you use them right away. If you have washed it twice, then you have dried it twice and heat will have set the stain. it may be good under a sweater or for washing the car or the dog.

Try Bleach for colored clothes....pour it directly on the stain...then wash it!

I use a product on my carpets and furniture called Spot Shot...I've used it on stains too! Just a dab'll do yah....then rinse it immediately.....works on everything I've spilled. Make-up, food, drinks, blood and grease. Since your shirt is already ruined....why not try it!
I get mine at Safeway and HomeDepot!

Good luck!

If you washed it twice AND ran it through the dryer already, you are pretty much out of luck.

If not, you can try a few things. What is the fabric of the shirt? What color? What are the washing instructions?

depending on the fabric, is it a grease stain? if its a grease stain dip a soft tooth brush in some dish detergent and use the brush. rince and then wash the shirt.

Vivid, you can find it with the bleach, but its color safe. Or Oxyclean stain remover. I have found both of those work much better than shout.

use dish soap.. its made to get the food off of kitchen ware.. it may just work on your clothing. but since you've washed it a few times already it may be too late.
