Drink something really sweet and see if your baby moves around after that.

As long as it's still moving, and hasn't stopped completely, your baby is probably okay. If having a sweet snack doesn't do the trick and you're still worried, see a doctor.

At 25 weeks, your baby has loads of room to move around, and should be moving frequently. If s/he isn't, try drinking a big glass of icewater or eating a popsicle (anything cold) then lie down and be still for a while. Your baby should start moving within about 20 minutes.

If this continues (no fetal movement) then call your doctor soon. With my second son, I noticed one day he hadn't moved very much at all. I tried everything I knew to get him active, but to no avail (I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time. He was running out of room, but at that point, babies should still definitely be moving, just not as hard. In other words, you I should have felt him squirming, but not doing his acrobatic flips like he had been doing!) Doc told me to go to the ER for a non-stress test, and they found that I was having mild contractions, and every time I did, it put him in distress and lowered his heart rate. I had an emergency c-section an hour or so later, and my OB told me if I hadn't come in, I could have lost him. :( Call your doctor.

I'm 38 weeks, and my doctor advises to take one hour of the day where I lay down and count how many times the baby moves within an hour. He said it is best after eating and drinking. You want to count at least eight movements. He then said that if I don't feel eight, to get up and drink something and eat a little, then try again. If there is still less than eight then go to the hospital to make sure the baby is okay. I don't know if hospitals are different in your area, so if you don't feel enough movements you should call your doctor.

I hope everything is okay for you and your baby.

probably not....as the baby gets bigger and bigger, there is less room for it to move around. Therefore, the movement will not be quite as noticable. It won't the the kicks you once felt but more like wiggling or stretching. Also, movement slows down alot when labor is getting close.

not necessarily. the baby is getting bigger and running out of room, im 30 weeks pregnant and ive noticed that it has been moving less the past couple weeks. bring it up to your doctor at your next visit though just to make sure

Sometimes babies go through phases of high movement and then periods of less movement. You could try drinking more water which would help with the production of amniotic fluid and may help with movement. You should also just contact you doctor if you notice less and less movement just to be on the safe side. Good Luck.

at a certain point the baby just gets bigger, as the space becomes more crowded, they move less.
