In 2003 O'Reilly led a boycott against the French as I will point out that didn't go so well for O'Reilly

2002: Pre-Factor Boycott
French exports to the U.S. total $28.2 billion.

2003: Factor Boycott Begins
French exports to the U.S. increase a billion dollars to $29.2 billion.

2004: Factor Boycott Year 2
French exports to the U.S. increase more than $2 billion to $31.6 billion.

2005: Factor Boycott Year 3
French exports to the U.S. again increase more than $2 billion to $33.8 billion.

Wow, from $28.2 billion to $33.8 billion. So, according to the Foreign Trade Division of the U.S.
Census Bureau, the Factor boycott of France has enabled France to increase its exports to the
U.S. by $5.6 billion. So foreign powers be warned: You better think long and hard before getting
on the wrong side of one Mr. William J. O’Reilly Jr., or you’ll be faced with an onslaught of
economic growth the likes of which you’ve never imagined. Suck on that, Mexico.

Not sheep? Are you kidding? The average conservative is far less educated then the average liberal. Being a liberal means you have to think, and not follow the crowd.

By the way it was O'Reilly's own ban. Which he gave many months in advance. Bottom line is that conservatives watch this clown, and actually think they are getting educated.

I don't need proof to know that O'Reily is an idiot.
I personally love Colbert and Stewart.

I do not have an ax to grind with O'Reilly as I never have viewed his program but on the other hand, I do go to France each year.

I think to be fair:

What were the annual increases previously?

How much of that new annual trade was tied to government or commercial contracts which could not be broken?

I am positive that a huge amount of Champagne was not purchased because of the war (which frankly makes no sense) and a large percentage of Champagne drinkers have started drinking California's Sparkling Wine as a fine substitute.

Just trying to be fair and balanced.

If you say so. I'm conservative and have never listened to him - I don't appreciate his political Jerry Springer shouting forum. He's a blowhard.

Also, conservatives are not sheep - we hold our own counsel.

If you're more educated, it certainly hasn't gained you any wisdom, sad to say. And, if you look at all the questions and answers here, you'd see that the anti-bush ones are the most shrill and strident, are all the same, and have no factual basis. To me, that is just sheep following a leader.

Thanks for question regarding Bill "big head" O'Reilly. I have
nothing, because I totally agree with you.
Do you know that Keith Olbermann (from Countdown, MSNBC)
has voted him the worst person in world about 100 times now?
O'Reilly is aware of this, so if you should call in to his show &
even mention Olbermann's name, Fox security will be calling
you?! That's about as rediculious as some of his comments.

Bill "Dildo" O'Reilly speaks like he knows what he's talking about, but the facts are there and every time he looks like damn fool!! He whines and squirms, but all the hard talk does nothing more than weakly "energize" the Con chickenhawks that have no better leader than him. It's sad, really.

I don't care for Mr O but your evidence doesn't support your accusations of hypocrisy as he doesn't set policy. You would have to prove that he increased HIS spending on French products.

I guess education is not a definitive measure of intelligence.

Ironic that France's leading exports are weapons technology, missile parts, fighter jet parts, etc. Seems our wars and our general aggression is VERY good for their economy. Lots of customers around the world (including us) arming themselves to the teeth to fight mad cowboy disease.
