Personally, I dont care what gay people do, and I don't see why anyone else would either! Maybe people should mind their own business! Why do people care? That is all i want to know.

Well God can be against it all he wants, but we are talking about the Constitution of The United States. In the US there are people who do not even believe in God.

We should be worrying about the 27 amendments we already have, instead of adding another!

I agree with you. I consider myself a Christian, and I say this with as much respect as possible: it doesn't really matter what God's opinion is on the subject because the Constitution guarantees everyone's right to religious freedom. That includes Jews, Muslims, Baptists, Atheists, and yes, GAY PEOPLE. I live my life according to God's law, but that does not give me the right to tell someone else how to live.

I am opposed. I don't care what queers do in their own homes, but a marriage is not two men or two women. Some say there's nothing in the constitution that says marriage is only between one man and one woman. That's correct. It also does not say that a marriage can't be between six men and one baby girl, or one woman and two mules, or a little boy and his cat.
Let's keep it the way it always was. We became a great nation with the one man and one woman idea, why spoil it now?

I care and so do GOD

All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.
The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife.
God's commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. Further more has God commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.

Marriage is sacred and should not be given to gay peaple that can't forfill there marriage the way God wants them to!

God is not against anything.. the Bible states that all will be forgiven if you ask for His forgiveness and take him into your heart... So, if that is true, why would he be against gay marriage? I am NOT against gay marriage. I believe that any two people who are in love should be allowed to enter into the civil union of marriage.

I'm not! Most of the people I've met who think gay marriage is wrong point to the bible, but when did it become okay to make laws based on religion? Marriage is a legal institution now, and denying people the right to get married is blatant discrimination.

Marriage has always been, and hopefully always will be, defined as a union between a man and a women. Therefore, "gay marriage" is not possible.
If two gay people want to live together, that's fine, but they SHOULD NOT have the same rights as a "married" man and woman.

Why do they care? Because they are small-minded bigots.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that gay marriage (or "civil partnerships") are bad. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that being gay is wrong (the passages you think do, don't).

The person who said it isn't possible obviously thinks that discrimination is a good thing, and that s/he wouldn't mind being banned from his or her partner's hospital bed, even funeral, or losing his or her inheritance and home when the partner dies, or a host of other things.

WAKE UP.
This country was founded on principles and belief in God.
Look around you and see what is happening. The majorities used to rule. Now every little bunch of ******* out there who wants recognition is changing our country from the once powerful nation into a divided country that is going down the tubes.Equal rights for everybody but why does a minority group have to change it for the masses???
If you don't like our laws then get the f*ck outta my country .

even as public colleges ban the Bible or college prayer in colleges, are they implementing their beliefs on you? even as police officials inform you that rushing over 45MPH is faulty, is a regulation being imposed on you? each and every man or woman, not merely the right, tries to impose their moral criteria, and that's only a count number of whose morals will be imposed. in very truth, and it truly is not politically acceptable to assert this, yet gay marriage is undesirable. Gays make up about 40 5% of the AIDS situations contained in the US even although they make up 3-4% of the inhabitants. they have severe situations of different STD's. they actually have a lot larger prices of alcoholism, drugs, and have interaction in quite risky sexual behaviors. i do not imagine that's a existence-form the authorities ought to recommend. yet more effective than that, gay marriage redefines the yankee kinfolk..it redefines marriage itself. Divorce is risky to the corporation of marriage, in spite of the undeniable fact that it would not redefine it. once you enable gay marriage less than the guise of civil rights, polygamy is next, perhaps not now, yet 30 years down the line.

I support the idea of gay marriage - why does anyone else care if two consenting adults want to make a commitment of love to each other?
