It's a very large tour.
The Dixie Chicks success will continue in record sales not at concerts in the fly-over states. The cancellations are in places where the last 29% of Bush supporters live. These states are primarily influenced by pork, perks, and racial fear mongering by the new conservatives in exchange for their electoral votes. They are proud to be red-necked lovers of 'country music' which has been left behind by the Dixie Chicks.
Those who would like to go to the concerts in those places are associating the extremists who protest the Dixie Chicks with those who bomb abortion clinics.

It's a little too much of a stretch to listen to a bunch of socialists who have the collective IQ of a learning disabled gerbil spew anti-American rhetoric and then PAY to listen to them sing country music.
I would be willing to bet the cancellations where due to death threats.
I have always felt the celebrities of the US should get together and publish a book entitled Our Stupid F*cking Opinions and donate to proceeds to charity.
It would help those who really care about their opinions to have them in one nice neat little place.
It would everyone else who thinks most of Hollywood is made up of morons. If it was all in a book, we wouldn't have to listen to some brainless 22 year old imbecile who failed world history in high school last year tell us about international politics.
And, it would help charities.

Because I hate country as much as I hate neo-cons. But I love free speech. Amazing how someone can say that they are ashamed of the President and get death threats. Yet, someone else attacks the widows of 9/11 and you all back her up.
I don't care what she calls "us". What she did yesterday morning makes me proud not to be an ignorant neo-con.
Good day.

I think it was just taste and people got tired of their music. Maybe the Dixie Chicks were just trying to increase their sales by voicing their oppinions and it backfired.

Because the ones that agree with them arent country music fans. Traditionally country music fans tend to be more conservative than the rest of the country.

Maybe even though people agree with their political views, still the source of my favorite one-liner "Stop Mad Cowboy Disease!", they may just not enjoy their music much. Nothing political about that.
