The info you will get on zillow and other websites like it will not give you accurate info. For example, the house I currently own is shown on Zillow with a value of the foreclosure from 2 years ago. Because we paid cash, there was no loan info. It has nothing to do with the actual VALUE of the property, only the last loan on record. Bank of America's website has a similar real estate feature that shows my house as being some 30 years older than it actually is. If you want real info, you will need to get with a Realtor. He/she can give you good indication of market conditions. If there is a specific home you are looking at, call an appraiser. It is the only way you are going to know for sure.

There may be local resources with more information specific to your area, but zillow.com is a good resource for getting a quick estimate on the value of a property.
