This answer is a tough one but here goes. Most people cheat because there are unfullfilled expectations in the marriage and they dont feel loved by there spouse. Guys usually cheat because of lack of sex and women usually cheat because she does not feel that her husband undeerstands her or loves her or cherishes her. I believe that both men and women are equally guilty of cheating or lusting in minds hearts and in actions as well! Men do it more outwards i think and women do it more in their hearts and minds.

As a woman i have cheated several times up untill i married the man i am with now... I cheated because i was unhappy but just to scared to leave for many years now i am happy and do not feel the need to cheat,, however it has made me a difficult person im the one that does not trust my spouse when he has never really given me reason not to.... So i would say that it's equal .. Men seem to get the blame for cheating more often but if we look real close im sure just as many women cheat..

Actually if you do the math, it is 50/50......A cheater isnt defined as a man or a woman but as a person of "infidelity" which means that a person who cheats is doing it with another person who knows it.....This isnt always the case but it is, in more cases than not.......Women will cheat as well as men but for different reasons, men are sexully motivated creatures meaning that they are in a unique position to be singled out as "horrible people" as opposed to women who are usually seen more as "the victim" in the situation. The idea that sex is a "ersonal right" between 2 people has (In America) made sex a terrible, terrible thing to be part of even if you're married to the person you're having sex with. The women's "impowerment movement is a farse"....You can watch Oprah winfrey one day and she will be talking about how terrible sex is, then another day she is talking about kinky things you can do in the bedroom with your spouse,....what a load of crap!.....

everything that happens has a reason. one can't fulfill the other, and that's too sad. biologically, people have needs, and we are predisposed to create some conditions to feel our existence. don't get me wrong, I'm totally against cheating, but being abused in some ways, of course u'll find a way to get some pleasure or smth, just to feel that u're alive. pleasure yourself.
