Because they use the useless social programs and free government handouts to BUY VOTES from their shiftless lazy and ignorant base.
You know whom I'm talking about - People who say things like "How bout being pi**ed of at the wealthy at not paying their fair share of taxes" - Even though the facts clearly show that the rich PAY MOST OF THE INCOME TAXES - The Top 50% of income earners pay 96.54% of All Income Taxes - The Top 1% Pay More Than a Third: 34.27%
Liberals can't take the truth because it exposes their arguments for what they are - completely based in emotion and void of any facts.
Stop whining liberals - your ideas for running the country suck - deal with it.

Why are you so against paying taxes, a small portion goes to social welfare programs, Clinton installed the welfare to work program and that stops the kind of abuses that I don't like either, like third generation welfare recipients. Woman having babies just to get welfare. Two years your out 4 years lifetime and you are done. Some programs like head start are proved winners. Most of you taxes at this time are going to fund a war that shouldn't have been, 10 billion with a b a month. Why ain't you up in arms about that, or the money that we spend to combat aids in Africa, with a broken health care system in this country. I really think that the neo's have their priority's messed up and backwards. No one has expanded government more then George Bush, why are you still supporting him?

Imagine the surpluss of government money there would be if we could cut some of these entitlement programs. The Democrats do it for the votes. As for the spending on the war, if we were to get attacked at home again it would cost a lot more economically. It took 18 months to bounce back from 911, some argue we still haven't.

I don't believe it is right to point a big general finger at democrats for spending "your" tax money. You and your community have a big part in voting what politicians spend your money for you and for what programs you deam "right." I believe liberals want it to be fair and if you would rather buy that second or third home in the hamptons while a retired vet, who protected your a**, is on the street. Yes, I believe you should be taxed at a higher rate, so we can help our fellow brothers and sisters. I see our society as a whole, unfortunately you see it as the top 10%. Vote!!

It is sad that you actually believe that you "work" harder for the money that you make. The truth is, that the hardest working people in America make the least amounts of money. You seem to placing yourself on a very high horse, I just hope you are braced for the fall. My parents actually worked for every penny they have EARNED and now have afforded themselves a comfortable life but without the high horse. They have seen and understand both sides of the fence. They also understand how those programs that you so freely give the finger to help Americans that are hard working but are in need of help. Do you honestly think you work harder than the soldiers that have and are still fighting for your freedom? I highly doubt it. Many of the programs are designed to help them after they have been to war and the truth is, that they still don't get all that they deserve. I hope you seriously get the chance to see how pathetic your idea or "work" is.

OK "Yep" (Mr. "got oil")
Answer this simple hypothetical question (you get to play God here for a minute).
There are only three people in a community.
A. earns $10,000
B. earns $50,000
C. earns $90,000
They need $20,000 to pay for the needs of their community. How much would you tax each?
Here's the liberal solution:
First, take 50% of C's income ($45,000) and 20% of B's income($10,000) and nothing from A, for a total of $55,000.
Next, create a "government" to ensure a level playing field for all citizens: A gets $35,000 worth of government spending benefits, B gets a $5,000 refund and C gets zero .
Now, in theory, everyone is living a "fair" $45,000 life!
But, oops...there's only $15,000 left over for the actual needs of the community and we started out needing $20,000.
What to do? Well, we run a deficit this year and raise that greedy bastard C's taxes by $5,000 next year!
"C" pays his higher taxes by laying off "A" (his employee) and shipping A's job to China, saving 50% or $5,000.
"A" goes on welfare and the government has to pay for that too.
The government runs for re-election and is supported by "A" (this sure beats working) and "B" (I went on a nice vacation with my $5,000 tax refund) and wins with 66.7% of the vote.
"C" says the hell with it and retires (the greedy bastard!)
