Come on, NYman! You know that Detroit has absolutely nothing going for it. Not one good area, crime everywhere, unemployent at 90%- only ones working are the corrupt government officials, pimps, ho's and drug dealers. Noone in the city has higher than a 3rd grade education because they were already makin' babies at that age. Maybe ain't noone left cuz they all murdered each other and anybody with any sense and any cash left years ago and most suburbanites are also bigoted, uneducated blue-collar Taylortuckian rednecks with no jobs or employment skills now that the Big Three are crumbling anyway. Everyone in the area is unemployed and can't afford ,or doesn't have enough education to use, a computer to be on Yahoo Answers. May as well just nuke the place and start over because everyone says (though they've never probably been there) Detroit is a "chithole."

Hope you read the rest below-I just got reamed by a former Detroiter who I dont think saw the bottom half of my answer. Kind of nice someone defended the area; wish they would have replied to your question though.

Hey NYman, that was kind of fun stereotyping my hometown area just like everyone else seems to do, and thanks for your moral support and support of one of my other answers too. Seriously though, you are right that there are not too many intelligent Detroit-related questions or discussions very often. Sometimes you see the Wings or Pistons rule or the Lions and Tigers suck question/statement in the Sports heading, or, usually someone may ask about somewhere good to eat in Detroit and a suburbanite will tell them immediately to get out of the city and go to a trendy suburb like Royal Oak. I guess the simple answer is that nobody outside greater Detroit knows or cares anything about the area other than to repeat what has been drummed in to their head by everybody else-Detroit's a joke or Detroit sucks. Nobody outside the area really comes here for any reason (maybe a few for business) so they also cannot offer any advice, information or valid arguement about any Detroit issue. The fewer people informed about a topic-in this case Detroit, the less lively the discussion is going to be.

just checked the Kansas City heading. WAY more boring. But, I agree. I think maybe we already know everything, nothing left to ask? Since I'll probably be the last answer to your question, that remark will go uncontested. Love Detroit, grew up here. Moved all over Michigan, ended up back in the SE in Ann Arbor, but my heart belongs to Detroit

So you are pronouncing individuals must act extra such as you and not more like themselves? Or probably alternatively of asking critical significant questions they must ask "much less uninteresting" inquiries to maintain you entertained? ... Anyways, I discover among the Business sections, in particular the Employment ones are lovely uninteresting. There's like 20 junk mail-robots in there and also you certainly not get any human solutions.
