Seems to me it defeats the purpose of being gay, how can you be attracted to a guy if he's acting like a girl? Gay guys are cool I just absolutley hate flamers.

My point is in the attraction to a guy if you are gay.... If you wanna screw guys thats fine I understand I don't care. But if you like guys why would you pick one that acts like a girl?

Just don't be with a flamer. Hate does not fix things. There are obnoxious people in every type just take it as that. Love yourself and your life and understand it takes all kinds.

First, is there something wrong with the way women behave? Women who wore trousers were at one time regarded as disturbing "the natural order."
People behave in an astounding array of ways and the only thing that I think is naturally "masculine" is peeing standing up. People will do what they choose.
I know some gay men like to make fun of what society believes about them by taking on certain behaviors. It's not like they're trying to attract anyone, just having fun.
Incidentally, the two most "flaming" men I know are very heterosexual, they are just gentle people who feel free to be themselves, no matter what other people might believe about them from their outward actions.
I just accept that people will be what they are, but recognize that not everyone does.

Why do some straight guys have to act all macho and be so loud and obnoxious about it? Why do some straight women act so swishy, constantly fussing with hair and nails, constantly chasing men? It just goes to show that masculine and feminine 'behavior' has very little to do with one's actual gender; it is learned behavior and different societies associate different behaviors with different genders. For instance, in the European tradition it is men who are the household money managers because women 'have no head for figures', but in Japanese tradition it is women -- it would have been considered 'effeminate' for a man to be concerned about household finances.
And BTW, some gay men don't like 'swishy' or 'campy' behavior either.

Because naturally a woman is supposed to be for a MAN and a man is supposed to be for a WOMAN! That's why a GAY MAN acts like a girl and a LESBIAN acts like a dude! because society define feminine and musculine being female and male respectively.....many gay men grow up without any role models, they can't identify with their straight fathers , uncles, grandfathers or brothers except seeing other men as sexual and physical attractions. So the other choice would be women. Since they are attracted to men, women in their life play a significant roles in terms of courting men, being with men and all the social interaction with men....to behave feminine is the rituals of attracting men... of course this theory doesn't exlcusively define all gay men.....

Their mental troubles and attitudes are learned behaviors! Other people of the same conviction subconsciously look for these and many other traits! Glancing up at sky while talking, hand gestures, an almost lisp....... and on.
