Wow. Ummm... 4 stories come to mind, actually, and I can't decide... heck, it's a tie -
Hades stealing away Persephone into the Underworld
Isis with Osiris' death & rebirth
Selene falling in love with Endymion

My wager is that men and women continually ate for pride while some thing tasty used to be to be had however had the feel to understand that the following meal wasn't assured in order that they ate for survival something the style. Because so much cave neighborhoods didn't have 7 - 11s, persons within the early days of hominids ate what used to be to be had while and wherein it used to be to be had. MY moment wager is that the primary comfort retailer used to be known as night time and day on the grounds that hours had no longer but been invented. Fairly early on, men and women built the capacity to consume from the land. Being an omnivore had its benefits. When there have been no sizzling puppies, there have been nonetheless an abundance of rolls.

Well my people (Tainos Indians) have a story that I like very much its the story of the Yunque, our rain forest where it is said to be the home of the Head Honcho of the Gods Yuquiyu and how supposedly tainos from all over the island would come leave offerings to him there. I personally visit the Yunque as much as I can and I've even caught myself leaving part of my untouched lunches near certain trees or letting my oranges or apples fall into the crystal clear waters as I give thanks to my ancestors. For I can swear I feel their presence and honestly it humbles me to think of it.

I like the story of Baldur and Loki and the mistletoe ... it's got everything - love, hate, jealousy, murder, motherhood, rebirth, fate, puzzles, predictions, giants, demons, monsters, devotion, betrayal, the end of the world and its salvation.
Wow, them bards could tell a tale.
