I HAVE ONE THAT NOW HAS THE SECOND ENGINE WITH A BROKEN CRANKSHAFT.

Lighten up on the poor thing, bro...you must drive it hard to blow two cranks. I am assuming you changed the oil like you are supposed to. If it broke on the last lobe, near the tranny, its probably oil starvation or filthy oil. There is a turbocharger on it and they are very hard on oil because of the heat and its worse if you run it all day (which is usually good for a diesel).
Consider...
1.) Keep up with you oil changes. That is the price you pay (12-15 quarts) for running a diesel.
2.) Add an oil cooler
3.) A remote oil filter adds oil capacity as well as extra cleaning power...might help you.
4.) Run Synthetic. Yes, its expensive, but it is waaay cheaper than blowing your crankshaft.
5.) Guages. If you had oil pressure and temperature guages, this never would have happened.
