You need a program that would change it into VCD (Video CD). Like Intervideo DVDCopy 4 would do it. But if it's bigger than the CD it would need to be put in 2 CD's. DVD-Shrink is a good program but it may cut out the ending of the movie. It has happened to me alot that's why now I'm putting it into DVD+R with CloneDVD 2.

If you r looking to compress a DVD movie into a CD then use softwares like Divx Converter(visit www.divx.com for more details) to convert it to avi of divx format or u can use ImTOO MPEG Converter to convert it into various formats inclusive of divx format .There are hundreds of softwares like these available in the market.
Other option would be to use Virtual dub. That is a free software. But u have to rip ur DVD using any ripper software and compress the larger sized ripped file into formats like xvid or divx.
For that u need the required codecs installed.for this u can use codec packages .

You must convert the DVD to a lower quality format like VCD. Try Cucusoft Video Converter.

DVD SHRINK.....
THIS IS NOT ILLEGAL USE....if your not technically minded dvd shrink will do the job .... but warning it might take up to approx 2 hours for the whole process. so be patient
It's a freeware software so just look up the name. If you have to pay for it your getting taken for a ride....
