Hi,
Hell Nooo. What will probably happen is some other knuckle head will be appointed to his spot or try and take his spot or do stuff in his name or Al Quida's name. You have to remember that he only came to popularity in the last 2 or 3 years. There are lots of militias running around Iraq. Most of them operating without Bin Ladens instructions. One way to lessen the violence is for the medias to stop giving the insurgents all the attention they want and focus on the good things a lot of people have done and are trying to accomplish. The media is focusing on only a small piece of the pie. The insurgents do the car bombings and stuff knowing that it will show up on the TV....and their propaganda is even quoted in AP news stories, off their website. It's what they want....Attention, Fame, and thus Power. So probably some new guy will want the same thing.

Taking care of al-Zarqawi only takes care of one leader. Not all insurgents in Iraq are al-Quada. There are hundreds of small militias who make up the majority of fighters.
Sure, al-Zarqawi is one more step in dismantling al-Quada, but they have changed their organization to the point that it is nowhere near the same as it was pre-9/11. It's not the success it would have been 4 years ago.

In my opinion, I think the violence will calm down, but there will still be some. Now that he is gone, hopefully Iraq can go on and not worry about being killed, and even the troops that are there as well. He was the threat, and now he is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably not, people will probably start fighting for his position. I think of it like the mafia. They will start in fighting for the position of the new God father, and they will still be killing the Iraqi people. So on one hand it is good they will be killing each other to figure out who will be the next maniac leader.

I doubt it very seriously....now that he is dead his followers are just going to retaliate in his name. That will only lead to someone else trying to fill his shoes. What I do not understand is why, with all of our advancement in technology, we can't find the bastard Osama bin Laden?...anyway, with the way things in the world are going today we are leading up to World War III.

I would certainly like to think so, but I doubt it will. There are still too many Al-Queda members. Someone will end up taking his place.
