That's what I did. I started off trying to finish my associates. Then I started looking at bachelor's programs and found out it would only take me three years to finish. Long story short, I finished my bachelors in less time. Go for the bachelors...!

It all depends...
If you are going for the accelerated program, just go for your Bachelors. You'll get it done quick, get it out of the way and get to making some sweet moolah.
If you want to slow the pace down, maybe get a job in between finishing your degree, then the Associates may be a good idea...

Maybe you can test out of some of the requirements for the Associate Degree. Your best bet is to talk to the Academic Adviser at the college you are attending. Generally advisable to complete the Associate Degree first. Colleges do not want you taking upper level classes unless you have a good grade point average.

I think if you are planning on gettng your Bachelor's, you should just do that. I don't know many people who have both, and the requirements for the associates may slow you down and you'd have pre-reqs for both, associates and bachelors. There are usually classes that are required, and it wouldn't be fun to have to retake them or have them count for one and not the other, etc.
If you know you are going for your bachelor's do that, and skip the associates. That's my advice, but I'm not in the CP field. I hear that going to school isn't necessarily the priority goal for CPs because stuff they teach in school is obsolete anyway. You are just showing that you can handle getting a degree.
Anyway, that's what I've heard. Best wishes to you.

A Bachelors degree will get you farther in my opinion, but it does also depend on the institution and the program you choose.
Best of luck.

not really, but if it is a goal that you can shoot for, do it. If you are going to a Jr. College, the associates degree is probably worth while.
