Yes, jogging is healthy exercise. I just started running at 36 in preparation for a triathlon; I don't favor it personally, but that's just me. It's high impact, so it can be hard on the knees and, for women especially, the hips and can also lead to shin splints. But if it's comfortable for you, then you're A-OK. Just make sure you're running in proper shoes.
