Never enough. Your value is going to depend more on a trust relationship and overall fit with the insurance agents. As you make them more productive, you become invaluable, and you can get paid comensurately. I found myself in this position once working with a real estate office as an assistant. I found myself proactively finding solutions, offering fresh ideas, keeping my eyes and ears open, and building relationships with the people that can make my life easier.

A simpler solution is to go to salary.com. You'll be able to look up your exact job in your location and see what the average, high, and low wages are. Also, it will include what benefits, if any, are usually given.
