Middle school is like elementary school... but with more pressures around you. Everyone branches off here. Into preps, druggies, gangs, goth, smart kids, nerds... this is basically where everyone decides to be who they are going to be through junior high and most likely until they graduate high school. Who you decide to be defines who you will hang out with and associate with and who you will be hanging out with and associating with for the next several school years. I suggest that you find who you are and stick to it. Don't give in to any of the pressures that junior high school kids push on you to be "cool" because chances are... they don't even know why they are doing some of the things that they are doing. Plus, believe me... the majority of the things that you do in junior high, that you aren't supposed to do, you will regret, and carry with you through high school and probably the rest of your life. Just think of the consequences before you take any actions... think where it will lead you in five years. That always helped me. But besides all of that. Junior high can be a great place to make new and interesting friends and have a great time going to the school dances and games and everything.

Eh, it's not that great. My sister claimed that it was the worst thing that had ever happened to her, but for me it was more of a mild dislike. But it can be lots of fun.

Do your homework, because grades DO matter (I got awful grades in middle school and regret it terribly), and make sure you get it done for ALL your classes (because you'll have more than one teacher, so some assignments might conflict slightly...although since middle school is smaller than high school, all the teachers will know each other and will at least make an attempt to avoid this). But if you do mess up, academics-wise, middle school is the place to do it. High school is a little less flexible, grade-wise, because it could determine whether or not you graduate, and what college you get into. Also, if you're struggling with something, GET HELP. That's what teachers, parents, etc., are there for.

Above all, though, just be yourself, and try to have as much fun as you can. You WILL meet new people, and you WILL meet new friends.

Oh, and please don't be cocky...one thing I always hate is when middle schoolers (and high schoolers, for that matter) think they're the coolest kids on the block. You're not. Trust me. You don't even drive yet. You're just a human being, same as everyone else. And you're still just a kid. Speaking of which, though, enjoy being a kid while you can. You've entered some of the final stages of childhood; don't think you have to grow up too fast. Be mature, but not TOO mature.

Whoa, that was a lot of info. Good luck!

MIddle school is really fun. Trust me I just finished my first year. U shouldn't be nervuse. I'll make a lot a new friends. The teachers r nice. and the thing u do like actives r fun. @ my middle school the 6th grades get to go to camp 4 3 days. I'm don't know what the 7th graders do. but the 8th graders get to go to Washington D.C., and to the pool @ the end of the year.
But middle isn't all fun and games. It is hard work. I suggest u study 4 everything. If your swiching from Eleamary school to middle school can be hard. Also watch out for cliques. Cliques can hurt u. Don't get mixed up with the wrong people.

GOOD LUCK!!!

They've all been a laugh, with ordinarily well matters and only some dangerous matters approximately every one. But I consider I'd nonetheless say basic and center college have been higher, simply considering they have been extra strain-loose. High college has been a laugh, however there may be just a bit extra strain concerned considering your grades begin to relatively rely and also you relatively must make certain you do good to your categories. You must begin considering your long run and tuition and whatnot, and it may be overwhelming. Elementary and center college have been a bit extra carefree. I can not decide upon among basic and center although, considering they have been each such a lot a laugh for me! I wager I would say basic for the reason that it was once the simplest and I had the least quantity of homework, haha. And for the reason that ordinarily each person was once peers and there were not a number of cliques and stuff. You would simply pass as much as someone at recess and play, and the would not pass judgement on you. Even although that variety of stuff will get beautiful typical in center college (cliques, individuals being judgmental, and so on.), I controlled to flee that for the reason that I simply stayed with my peers and did not take a look at to hang out the "general" crowd. I've heard that plenty of individuals had a terrible time in center college, however I honestly had plenty of a laugh. I simply had relatively great peers, and I cherished such a lot of my academics in center college too, in order that was once additionally what made it well. I've had plenty of well college years, and I can not potentially decide upon one, so I'll simply decide upon one from every college. 4th grade was once my first-rate 12 months of basic college, seventh grade was once via some distance the first-rate center college 12 months, and thus far, I consider my senior 12 months has been my first-rate prime college 12 months (I'm a senior proper now). Junior 12 months was once beautiful well too although.

Expect to meet a lot of people and have fun But don't have to much fun because when you get to high school it won't be all that fun if you did a lot in middle school. AND grades do matter. The better your grades the better your chances for getting into honors and AP classes in high school and the if you keep your grades up in high school with AP classes (which gives you college credit) you can go on to a really good college and not have to pay much for it so GraDES DO MATTER

It can be a lot of fun but just be careful not to get mixed up with the wrong people. Middle School can be a really changing time in your life it's a major transition period. It's going to be hard especially in the social area. The classes are usually fun and there's always great projects and things. 8th grade graduation is a blast! We went to disneyland. Have a great time in school and do well!!!

Middle School is so different from Elementry. You get more freedem and Meet more people. Middle school is the best for me. the only thing that I hated was when your on the bue, 8th grade sits in back 7th in middle and 6th in front. I would get yelled at and cussed at so many times for trying to sit back there so don't unless your 8th graders are nice. i'm going to be an 8th grader this year so I finally be to sit back there. and if 7th and 8th graders start picking on you always say this " you were a 6th grader once" and mostly they'll shut up. look out for rumors and don't do anything stupid to get your rep. down. good luck!

I thought it was fun. It took some getting used to because instead of being the oldest grade in school like in elementary, I was now in the youngest.
I loved changing classes every hour, and seeing a new teacher. If you didn't like one teacher in this class, the next one might be better. I liked the variety and different styles of learning.
You don't get "babied" as much in middle school, so you start to feel like an adult. And you get some choice in what classes you will take, instead of everything being dictated to you.
Enjoy yourself.
