i work at ups part time and last week we had a paid holiday and they paid me for 4 hours and 57 minutes

and they do have to pay me for holidays sick days i have full benefits i have everything a persons doing full time has

ok for those who say that they dont have to pay me ur wrong they do that was part of the agreement with anyone they hire

The number of hours that they have to pay you for or how they figure that out should be in an employee manual. If you are in a union then that would be something that you could ask an official in your union. But remember that there are a lot of jobs that don't pay holiday pay, and make you work at your regular rate on holidays. And even more that do not provide benefits of any kind for part time employees.

It could always be worse than just 4 hours & 57 minutes of pay for a day that you didn't work.

Usually on holidays, they pay you what you normally work on that day. Say if you are full-time, they would pay for 8 hours of work. If you are part-time, then less than that. It seems to me they may have just averaged the time you work during a week, and paid you for that. But ask your boss how they came up with that figure, It sure is odd.

Be happy for the money they gave you. Legally they weren't obligated to pay you anything
