(I know they used to be designed for that.....but more and more people wear them on the right now.....have always worn mine on the right wrist btw..)

i guess because most people are right-handed, so you need to have the right hand/wrist/arm more free to move about and do various tasks! rather outdated, if you ask me!

Most of the people are Right handed with lesser use of left hand which is why wrist watches are worn on left .

Who said they were? Most people wear the watch on the left because they are right handed. I do now, but when I played the accordion I wore it on my right wrist so I wouldn't have to take it off when I practiced.
