Three days after my period ended my husband and I didn't use any protection. I thought it would be Ok. Then about a week later, my breasts got really sore and I've been having some cramping. I thought most women ovulate about 2 weeks before their period but I could have sooner. I should be getting my period on the 18th of this month. But like I said, all the premenstral signs started very early. I've been hungry alot too. What do you think?

It's a possibility especially if you ovulation fell within 5 days of having sex. Your best bet is to wait at least two weeks after a missed period, and see your doctor for a blood test as this is the most accurate way of testing.

Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to 5 days, so even though you had unprotected sex 3 days after your period, it could have been 8 days after that you got pregnant. Unless you know when you ovulate, there's no way to know what your chances are that you got pregnant. Wait until the 18th and if your period doesn't show up, then take a home pregnancy test. In the meantime, try not to worry about it too much.

I think there's a strong possibility that you are pregnant. I remember when I got pregnant with my first child, It was like a week after my period. Believe me honey it dosen't take long after your period. In the mean time, I would recommend a EPT pregnancy test because those are the best test to detect pregnancy at it's earliest. If your really curious to know. But if not , then I would wait to see what happens on or after the 18th. I hope I was able to be of some kind of assistance to you. Good Luck!

You are very right about the two- weeks- after- ovulation, but unfortunately our body sometimes can be unpredictable through stress and other factors. So, yes it's happened to others before. Maybe you are pregnant, but all the symptoms you are experiencing could also be caused by your fear of getting pregnant, which is stressful in itself.

You may get pregnant any point within your cycle even on your period, but there are alot of different reasons including any hormonal or stress changes that can cause the same symptoms of pregnancy (pregnant with third)
