rather hear the deaths of our soldiers ?
They've come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories & negative talks such as: the Bush administration cooked up this news to steer away all attentions of the alledged killings of Iraqi civilians; Iran sold Zaqawi out to the US in trade of US joining the Iranian nuclear talks; Bush needs this news to boost his all time low ratings; news of Zarqawi's death helps the Republicans this coming November elections; it makes no difference 'cause another terrorist who's more extreme, more fanatical will step in Zarqawi's place; Zarqawi death only makes him more of a martyr, a hero to other Muslims...on & on...
It is just unbelievable !

Jackson & m77c77,
A person with the right mind, whether or not one supports or opposes the war, would not stage protests at military funerals of America's fallen heroes, carrying signs reading "Thank God for dead soldiers". If this is not an act of a liberals wanting to see our troops die to prove their points, then what is ? No insinuation here, only hard fact.
Your question should've been: "How many fanatic Muslims flew the planes into the WTC ?"
Saddam was good at fooling the rest of the world into believing he still had WMD, by playing cat & mouse w/ the UN weapon inspection teams. Resolution 1441, the last of numerous UN resolutions since the 1st Iraq war, overwhelmingly passed by all UN members leading to the US led invasion. Saddam had it coming to him through his own makings.
If Iraq were to have nuclear weapon, do you think they'd hesitate at all using it to destroy America ? War is an ugly thing & nobody wants war. But, sometimes, to preserve peace, war is to be waged.

Why're our soldiers dying in foreign soils ? This question'd been raised many times before when Americans stood by watching Germans soldiers matching through European countries. Some argued then that it wasn't our war. We didn't react as the Japanese taking over almost the entire continent of Asia, 'til the attack of Pearl Harbor. 9/11 reminds us that the cost of doing nothing is just as much devastating.
Our soldiers have sacrificed for a great cause of freedom & democracy. We're obligated to defend those who are in thrist of freedom.
War, as I said, is ugly. I was born in Vietnam, fathered by an American GI. I'd gone through a great deal of experience growing up in the Vietnam war until it ended with the fall of Saigon in April 1975 & beyond as we were living under the Communist regime for another 15 years, 'til we risked our lives one more time escaping on a small boat to the passageway of the freedom world thru Thailand. I'm not for war, but I'll die fighting ffor freedom.

Liberalism is a disease, a plague. It, not Islamic fundamentalism, will be the downfall of western society. Liberals are blinded by their hatred of a government that is heroicly trying its best to fight an evil greater than the world has seen since Hitler. Liberals are so blinded by hatred that anything that happens in the world is George Bush's fault. Islam is a religious cult based on murder, torture, rape of women and children. They demonstrate what cowards they are by beheading of innocent civilians who are bound with their hands tied behind their back. This is a disease that must be stopped. Their goal is to destroy western civilisation. Liberals are their no. 1 assistants in the cause. When will blind people see? Probably never when they've got such illustrious talent leading them like the Kennedys, the Clintons, Kerry, Gore, and the hollywood scum like Michael Moore.

don't you think there may just be a LITTLE truth to some of that "negative talk" that you list so brilliantly?
Perhaps not all of those points are true, but when you have lost trust in your government it is hard to sift through to find what is right.
I think what is unsettling to many is that this news will occupy our news cycle and make people feel better about the war, but in fact nothing much will change. Maybe the insurgency will peter out now, but I doubt it. Catching Saddam made no difference in the war, though it too, made people feel better about an enterprise that on the whole has been ill-conceived and terribly managed.

Good that he's dead, but unfortunately it doesn't change a damn thing as far as the war goes. History shows that taking out one man does little if anything in the end (See the killing of Uday and Qusay, and the capture of Saddam).
Quick trivia how many of you know that Ho Chi Minh died in September 1969? That certainly changed things in Vietnam now didn't it.
Oh well, at least justice has been served, though I would have preferred if they had captured him then executed him. Who knows maybe they could've gotten some much needed intelligence out of him before painfully disposing of him.

I believe in the death penalty, but Bush is still a fool. His war is illegal. "Terrorism" as a concept will never be defeated (it has existed throughout history). There really are many more people who would be glad to take the deceased's place and kill Americans. And people like you, who assert that Americans who oppose the "war" in Iraq wish for American troops to die to prove their point, are fuc**ing cowards who hide behind shrill rhetoric. Basically, you want your illegal little "war" and for everybody to like it too. Ain't gonna happen, moron.
BTW, how many Iraqis flew planes into the WTC?

It's simple reasoning. With the news of his death, it is undeniably a momentary achievement of our honorable military forces. And it will forever take away their ability to throw the non-capture or kill of Zarqawi into the pot of their perceived failures. It has deflated their balloon. But certainly they must have known this day was coming, just as they must realize Bin Laden will eventually meet the same fate. Patience is a virtue, so it's said.

ill answer your question with a question... why do some conservatives post dumb questions while insinuating that liberals want to see our soldiers die? hey, here's another one.. why are our soldiers dying in iraq? to liberate the country from a cruel dictator? to fight terrorism? to find the wmd's? well there are numerous dictators around the world considered much more brutal and insidious than hussein.. and even the bush admin has stated more than once that there is no link between iraq and al queda. and, of course, there are no wmd's in iraq. so tell me.. why are we dying AND killing over there?

Why is that some people say things about liberals with no backup?
Does it improve my opinion of Bush? No. Am I glad he's dead? Yep. Do I think this will dramatically change the direction of the war? No. Am I glad that he's dead? YEP!

Liberals hate america, THEY are the real enemy. They're sad when america does well, they want to see us lose, even though they call themselves americans. They're not americans, they're traitors.
