Because I don't like to use a credit card or ATM. When you use your credit card the business has your signature on file electronically. Who's to say someone cannot break in and just cut and paste your signature on many charges. If you don't go electric, it's just a measure of identity theft and fraud protection for yourself.

No way. Who uses this anymore. That is what debit and credit cards are for (cash also). Although it does really piss me off when someone uses their credit card to buy like a $1.50 soda as the transaction takes so long. What ever happened to good old hard cash?

there is nothing like the look on the faces of the people behind me as i fumble with that monstrous checkbook held together by a think rubber band, search aimlessly through my purse for a pen as the cashier tries to hand me hers, and finally extracting it I announce, "I've forgotten my card. Can you wait a moment while I amble over to customer service and get a temporary."?

Because it gives me a couple of days before the money is taken out of my account, unlike the debit card, it's gone as soon as you swipe the card and enter your pin.

Yes sometimes I still use my checkbook instead of my Debit card because it brings me back to reality. Keeps me grounded so to speak. Also gives me a chance to see if I can still write one.

No, but, it's a good idea. It's too easy for debit card pin numbers to be stolen.
