don't use pickup lines. They are sooooo lame. Just be yourself. Most pick-up lines are used too much anyway so you just end up sounding like an idiot because so many other's have already used it!

one time i was about 25 and i saw this beautiful woman who was about 40. i was too shy to approach her so she left, i was really disappointed and angry at me for not having the guts to talk to her. she came back into the bar an hour later, i saw it as a sign and walked up to her and said "i'm so glad you came back, i wanted to talk to you but i was too shy" she just looked at me and said "i came back because i wanted you to talk to me" we ended up dating for quite some time! all goes to show be honest and true and it'll work!
