The monitor is only one element of a computer system. It is by no means one of "two main parts". A computer SYSTEM includes a CPU (processor) and hard drive (among other things like ethernet card, video card, sound card, memory, and a myriad of other things) housed in a case or "tower", the monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
