challenges-how to attract more shoppers into their stores;how to stay competitive over the other leading stores;how to reward their loyal customers; how to come up with quality but price competitive merchandise;how to bring back customers who used to shop with kmart but have long shifted to other stores.
opportunities- everything is out sourced they can join the bandwagon;the longstanding name of kmart in business.

The challenge, to provide good quality service at a low cost. I know someone who used to be in management at a Kmart store, and he said it was as absolute pain because he was given a small, under-paid staff yet the upper corporate management expected the store to be perfectly organized everyday.
The opportunities, big names like Martha Stewart, and Jaclyn Smith. If Kmart can convince a few more celebs to open product lines with them, they might be better able to compete with the likes of Target.

none i hate kmart........................wal mart or target best
