Given the group they are in if you assume Spain goes through then they are fiting with the only African team to return from 2002 Tunisia. I definately give the Ukraine a chance though it will be no walk in the park.
Once through the first round they will face someone from what might be the weakest group in the cup group G so they will have a chance to move on to the Quarters. At that point it definately gets tough as they will probably face either Brazil or the winners from Group E so getting beyond that might be tough.
So they have a chance at the quarters but getting out the group would be a good showing for them.

Ukraine should make it to the second round, but they need to win the group to avoid France in the Round of 16. Getting past that if possible puts them against either Brazil or the Group E winner, and I don't see them going beyond that.

I am not trying to wish you bad luck but Ukraine? I don't think so, i tip them to go far, but like it always is in the world cup, inexperience will be their undoing in the later stages of the competition.
I am a fan of Shevchenko and i tip him to come out one of the highest goalscorers, but Ukraine winning the cup? I don't think so
