How can you change a strong Potpourri into a milder one.?

I bought some orange, and other blends and it seems very strong
and my husband is wanting me to throw it out. is there anything that I can add to the potpourri to make it milder, I don't want to throw it out as I do like the fragrance. but its way to strong.

Try putting it outside for week or so. Cover it with netting or something though to keep it from blowing in the wind and also make sure you keep it out of the rain. It will get milder after a while.

Use less of that mix in your container, or mix only a very small amount of this stuff WITH some other, non-perfumed leaves, pine cones, or whatever to fill up your potpourri container.

The smell will weaken all by itself in open air sooner or later, but why waste it,--- just use less.
