My mom and dad are going on vacation to Mexico. I have a 9 month old daughter. My parents are wanting to take her with them but since my baby can talk we need help on know what we need to do so my parents can take her legally without any problems. I was wondering if there are any forms that I need to fill out and sign or what government agency do I need to call. I can't keep my baby with me because I work and since my baby is my parents first grandchild they love her alot and want to take her with them. Help me please and Thank You!

For the stupid idiot that answered my question which is rfijanssen. I am letting my baby go to another country with her grandmother Ok and if you didn't have enough information for the question I asked then you shouldn't bother but I bet you are one of them idiots that answer questions the stupid way just to get 2 points. SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE

You can get a passport for her, even though she is so young. Depending on how your parents are traveling you may also need a notarized letter saying that you are the custodial parent and have given permission for your child to travel with her grandparents.

You need to get your child a passport. My sister travels abroad with her young children all the time. Since your parents are not the legal guardians you will need a notarized letter by you and the child's father giving permission for the trip.

My mom took my son to Mexico when he was still a little guy also. All she needed then was his birth cert., but since 9/11 I am sure the process has changed. You can call the airlines. That is where I would start!

Contact a lawyer and find out exactly what you need to do. I'm sure that if an emergency arises that they would need some sort of legal document so that they can provide the best care possible and have legal rights to make any decisions.

if your illegal..hopefully they will keep her in mexico..what mother in their right mind would let a 9 month old go on vacation to another country..???
