Lambert was the key to the STEELERS defense of the '70s. One of the toughest, meanest and roughest players there was! A true Hall of Famer! My all time favorite!

The perfect middle linebacker for the Steelers' 4-3 Steel Curtain defense, with great defensive tackles in front of him. Undersized to be a 3-4 linebacker. Not the equal of the Bears' Mike Singletary.

Great player who personified toughness of the Steel Town. Great linebacker but then again having Joe Green, LC Greenwood, Dwight White and Ernie Holmes standing in front of you really helps when it comes to defending. Being supported in the backfield with Mel Blount, Jack Ham and Mike Wagner did not hurt either. Tough guy nonetheless.

He was a good LB, but not even the best on his team. That honor goes to Jack Ham.

if you mean the football player, he was great. even though he played for a rival team in our division, he was great to watch and i understand now that he rarely does any promotions or anything to do with the public. so you have to respect his privacy and let the man live his life...
