They say they are "addicted" but that just sounds like an excuse. Sure I have a Myspace accout but I use it only use it every 2 days and only for 1 hour. They could get out there in the world and experience something new but they'd rather sit on their a s ses and do the same thing all day... Stare at the screen blankly and hope to god they get a comment or friend request.

I agree with you. MYSPACE is okay, but I don't see how people can get addicted to it. It is, however, a great way to network and market yourself---especially if you are a musician or entertainer or writer.

I feel addicted sometimes. People don't just sit and wait for comments or friend requests. You search for other people to add, change up your page (that's what takes most of my time). It's fun. But lately I haven't been on there often. Some people don't find it a waste of time. I don't. I lost a lot of contact with my friends after graduation (just a year ago) and this is how I keep in contact with some of them.

Because Myspace is addicting, and that is the simple way to put it.

People feel good signing on and having New Friend Requests or comments, trust me I know - I'm hooked too.

I hear ya. I also have an account and I usually only go on when I get an email or if I want to say something to a close friend. But in defense of those who are "addicted" i think its moreso that they are waiting for replies to things they have said to others, that or they cannot stop stalking peoples pages.

It is reasonable to only go on when you have emails, because if you just go on without any notices of comments etc...you are going to find an empty inbox...so why go on otherwise? Sillllliness and boredom.
