I had my first when I was 18 and now I am 23 and haveing my 2nd. I dont think it is age, though I do belive that a couple should be married before tring to have a baby. I think that you need to have a stable lifestyle for the baby. You need to have a decent job, a nice place to live, a steady income and a spouse to help you. A baby is a HUGE responsibilty and is a lifetime committment!

It is never bad to have a baby at age 20. What in the world are you talking about? That age of a woman is young but the individual could be very mature and handle it ok.

I believe when a woman becomes pregnant, it is God's blessings on this person.

For some yes. It all depends on the mother to be. Some women are more mature at age 20 then other women are at age 40. The opposite is true.

As yourself this question, what do I have to gain by having a baby? What do I stand to lose? If the loselist is greater than the have list. Well I think you would have your answer.

I dont think that it is bad to have a baby at the age of 20 as long as you feel mature and ready for a baby. My friend had her baby at 19 and she is doing just fine. Her little girl is almost 2 now. She loves being a Mom and having her made her grow up and mature really fast.

The fact that you have even posted that question shows a certain maturity level. It's not ever going to be what others think or say that makes that choice for you. ONLY YOU can decide if you feel you are mature enough, try to volunteer at a daycare center for several days or even at a maternity ward in a hospital and see if you feel comfortable with that kind of setting. The idea for some in having a child is to have "someone" of their own that they can love, but many don't consider the job of 24/7 that goes along with it, or the financial responsibility, besides if Gods plan is for you to have one and He thinks your ready guess what,, its Gods Plan.

I don't think 20 is to young as long as you feel ready. When I was 20 I didn't feel ready to give up anything to have a baby, but when I was 25 I knew it was the right time(I was also married and we had a steady income). My mother had me when she was 20 and she is wonderful(she is my best friend), but she also struggled a lot with money and work. it was hard but she said it was Worth it, just do what feels right to you.

I was 20 when I had my first. I also had my own crib and a job so I was capable of taking care of us.
Realistically it is a little young but I have no regrets. I am 24 and I can do what every other 24 year old can do -except for spend all my money on myself :)
If you have a supportive team you will be fine.

I had my 1st one at the age of 20 and i think i'm doing well. He's ten now. I'm a mother of 3. My mom had her 1st one at the age of 19 and she had 16 kids and i think she did just fine with all of us. So it really depends on if you are ready for a child. Some people are not ready at that age. But most are i think.

I don't think so. I had my baby at the age of 19. Having a baby really helps you to mature and teaches you a lot about responsibility. When you have a little person that depends on you for everything, it really helps to shape you up.

It really depends on the person. If you think that you are then yes it is. Some young mothers are to immature as well as older mothers. Its not the age it is the person.
