I drive a 125, and it's great for being able to park, beat the congestion and not sit on a sweaty tube, but there are moments of gut-wrenching fear every day, and to be honest I can think of more enjoyable ways of passing the time.
I do it through necessity rather than joy, and would recommend it as long as you're very very very careful.
I mean very!

Like every big city is can be daunting and drivers have no respect for scooters or motorbikes.I ride a Hayabusa and am forever getting people opening doors on vehicles,trying to overtake and then wanting to race as the light goes green at traffic lights (why!) but do not let that deter you.
Just be careful ride safe and you should be fine.Also this city is scooter mad so you will have company.

it depends what are you interested in. first if you want to race-it through London's streets change your mind you can't.second, if you are talking about commuting to work or just around is the best. And I'm talking from experience. I started to ride 2 years ago with a 50 cc and now I've got a 125 cc.

I suggest you make sure you always stop at traffic lights no matter what colour they are. It also helps to show the victory sign at any drivers you pass. If you can only use one finger, that''s OK too.
If you see anyone in uniform, you must get off the bike and salute them. Failure to do this will result in the loss of your 125cm3. Finally, your helmet has to match the colour of the city you are in. For London, it has to be pink.

It's good for beating london congestion,but safety wise you might be better with a Challenger tank!

London is dngerous for anything on two wheels - the cars, buses, taxis, lorries just don't see you - my brother is a cycling courier and has had numerous accidents - I do wish he would stop.

SURE !! just make sure that you ride on the sidewalk "pavement" it's much safer, But be sure to look out for those crazy mums with baby buggies their DANGEROUS
