In all reality, a family is really an extension of a bloodline, if a woman has the potential for bearing kids, then "yes" you are a family....if she does not have that ability, then you are a couple unless you own slaves which i doubt........ In America,....i think the average family consists of a hubby, a wife and 1.73 children,...how the goverment chops that second portion of a child up,..."I'll never know".....the ratios also consider pets and pets are considered to be family in about 45 states.....so, I imagine that maybe a pet can make up for the .27% of the second child...but who knows?....America changes daily so I guess you and your wife could be a family just by owning 2 dogs and a cat and perhaps a parakeet.....There are some figures that state that a family wieghs on average about 600 pounds but that too changes.....This is America after all, we can be anything we want to be here supposedly.

Definitely YES! While other people consider pets as family members, why not husband and a wife who love and maintain their respect for each other despite the non-existense of a child in the house.
It is true, children would give your relationship as husband and wife, a sense of triumph. It would definitely give more boost to both your lives. But the child is just a part of the family. THE HUSBAND AND THE WIFE, AND THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER ARE THE MAJOR ELEMENTS OF WHAT YOU CALL A FAMILY.

A family does not have to consist of kids. One definition does have to do with a group consisting of one or two parents and thier children but the other definition is ~... Two or more people who share goals and values, have long-term commitments to one another, and reside usually in the same dwelling place. That to me is a marriage between to loving individuals weather or not there are children involved.

Yeah it's a family. If you are living and married to someone you love, then it is definitely considered a family. So if you are married...you have a family to support.
