number 2. for my own self, i don't talk, pretend & broadcast to people that i know a lot of things. i just talk a little, stays humble.
if somebody esp. a friend needs some suggestions or assistance on something that i know a bit more, i gladly share what i know. also, in everything that we say or make promises to another person, we should be true to our words-for us to gain respect & friends who will love & trust us evenmore.

#2. I don't say much, and won't talk unless I know that I have something worthwhile to say. It's to the point that I won't even speak until I have reviewed my words mentally several times. I have always considered it a hindrance, but if that is what a lot of people are striving for, then I guess I'm good.

Depends on the topic and who I am speaking to. More of the latter than the former. However, I do like to give enough detail to be clear :)
